My country: Costa Rica.
Costa Rica is internationally known as a country in peace with nature, with a population highly ranked world wide as one of the happiest countries in the world, due to the ecological diversity. Most of the clothes in the country are imported from big industries, which provide the population with cheap textiles. The style in Costa Rica is mainly influenced by globalization transmitted by different media.

Around twenty years ago, the Costa Ricans were not conscious about the danger they were causing to the environment. Which is why; today there is more education that the government is promoting throughout recycling campaigns, and other activities that motivate the society to shift from an unaware society, into a sustainable living. Due to the ecological awareness, which Costa Rica is slowly adapting to, (a different eco-friendly life style) people began creating clothes based on reused or recycled materials, which is why; I was inspired by the wide biodiversity in Costa Rica, in ways not to abuse of the resources available.

This fashion campaign shows that, with /limon dulce/ clothing line, the use of organic fabrics will be promoted in the country, not only helping the environment, but also the Costa Rican creative producers by making them known and having a high demand of their products.

/limon dulce/ envisions Costa Rica with their own style, inspired by our culture and surroundings like forests, beaches and mountains. The idea is to combine natural fabrics with the amazing natural surroundings that my country offers, and later extend this movement to other countries around the world, promoting the idea of people wanting to buy clothes made in their own countries by their people.
