Project title: Armenian Modern Style
Selected for scholarships 2009-2010, Course of Fashion Design, School of Fashion, IED Madrid

The models, which I represent, are based on the Armenian national  clothes.
Armenia is an old country  and has  culture  of ages. Armenian rich nature and fruits has big influence on the development of national clothes, especially Armenian pomegranate which I tried to show in my clothes.

In my collection You can notice ornaments, colors, which are specific to Armenian art style, habits and culture. The veil, in my small  collection, is a symbol of a decent of Armenian woman. The accessories on head, are taken from the historical clothes of Armenian queens , but are changed for being  useful and modern according with our lifestyle. The beautiful ornaments on  the clothes are handmade.

Combining our national clothes with trends, I am showing a woman in background of  the modern Yerevan’s street. Enjoy!!!
