Project Name: Tulip-Anemon Empire
Selected for scholarships2009-2010, Course of Shoes and Accessories Design, School of Fashion, IED Rome

In this project, I want to combine with the leather that has got natural beauty and tulip motifs that can be seen at the otoman culture.Also ; Anemon is a kind tulip which is especially grownig up in Manisa that is myliving city.This is other cause that ? want to choose this motifs.

When I make this design;I used tile motifs that is a kind of turkish art in the porcelain plates.I showed together anemon tulips and star-moon which is the symbol of our country flag.The pattern of leather bag liked to anemon motif and this is harmonic with other motifs.At the end with the tassels,

I increased the alaturca effect.Also the leather bag is a hand made product and I haven’t used any machine except stitching.The handle of bag was a hand made knitted.The Order of Project is desinging,cutting pattern and leather ,fixing with gum , stitching and finally putting handle of bag.

Finally,I try to show the alaturka motifs of Turkey with my project and I hope it will be a kind of mirror of our culture.
