India: Illegal Multi-Story Building Collapses In 9 Seconds
In Noida, India, two residential buildings and two illegally constructed multi-story buildings were brought down following a legal struggle that lasted for nine years. Explosives were used to bring down the buildings, which had a combined height of 40 stories, in a matter of seconds, while every precaution was taken to safeguard the neighboring structures. Explosives were responsible for the collapse of the twin skyscrapers, each of which stood forty stories tall and was located in the Noida neighborhood close to New Delhi. To bring down the two structures that were 103 meters tall, 3,700 kilograms of explosives were employed.
