Order to Shoot Gunmen in Afghanistan
As the rate of kidnappings, murders, and other crimes increased in the Afghan capital, Kabul, police were ordered to shoot gunmen at sight.
According to a spokesman for the Interior Ministry, Interior Minister Masood Andrabi said that criminals could not roam freely in Kabul.
He directed the police to kill the gunmen on sight.
Earlier, Kabul police were allowed to use weapons only in the event of a confrontation with criminals.
